Your Voice Deserves to be Heard!

Ronald Reagan once said “Every dollar the government spends comes out of your pockets. Every dollar the government gives to someone has to first be taken away from someone else.
…government spending is derived from taxpayer funds and emphasizes the need for careful justification of expenditures.”

I am dedicated to fostering political transparency and accountability in Loudon County, TN.

MY VISION

TERM LIMITS!

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND TAXES

  • We deserve a long term budget and infrastructure plan.
  • No significant tax dollars should ever be spent without a comprehensive study.
  • The budget process should be transparent and easy to communicate to taxpayers.
  • In 5 of the past 8 years Loudon County has spent more than they received. Why?

OUR STUDENTS FUTURE

  • Two schools in the 1st District are assigned a D letter grade by the state of Tennessee. They deserve better.
  • The highest growth in student population from 2006 - 2025 was at Loudon Elementary...why were they not fairly represented in the request for the $115,000,000 tax increase?
  • Experts suggest we need to prepare more students for skilled trades, AI proficiency, and STEM-related professions. We are behind the curve and students deserve better.

ROADS & INFRASTRUCTURE

  • The state of Tennessee has stated Loudon County has over $300,000,000 in road, bridge, and other infrastructure improvements. Why are commissioners not talking about this, and showing us a plan?

COMMUNICATION

  • For years we were told to sit down and shut up by County Commissioners...until it comes time for elections and then they suggest we can talk about important issues but ONLY during a non-voting workshop. Of course, IF they respond, it is usually only in anger and self-serving tirades.

LAWSUITS

  • Our budget for lawsuits has skyrocketed. County Commissioners will say it is to protect us from urban sprawl. However, where is their PLAN for growth, other than create such restrictive and confusing mandates that even County Chancellor McFarland eventually had to call out the County Commissioners in a recent lawsuit "A county commissioner that makes an oral argument –without the requisite public hearing, without notice to its citizens and with total disregard for the procedural steps required by law – is not proper…one commissioner cannot speak as to the intent of the entire commission. Unfortunately, this commissioner failed to seek guidance from neither the county zoning/codes enforcement officer nor the county road supervisor. This situation was completely avoidable, and the law could have been easily followed.”

WE DESERVE BETTER!
